5 Ways to Look Chic When it's Cold (Or, What to Wear to Fashion Week!)

February can be a less-than-inspiring time to get dressed for those of us who live in the colder climates. Alas, there's nothing like fashion week to inspire a girl to put in a little extra effort. Here, five ways to look chic when it's cold out there, inspired by the editors, buyers, and bloggers who attended the menswear shows last month.

 Layer lighter coats. A fun animal print coat (this one's from Mango) and a tough leather jacket are slightly more eye-catching than a practical parka. Try layering your fall jackets to make one warm-enough topper.

 Distract with accessories. Fashion girls are famous for this trick: Wear your coziest navy and black pieces from head to toe but add some excitement with an out-there handbag, statement necklace, or bright lip color.
