Alice Temperley Dresses Target A New Fashion Tribe

Drawing inspiration from the seductress, Mata Hari, Alice Temperley’s Autumn/ Winter 08-09 paid homage to the beguiling spy of the early 1900’s, staking out a new fashion tribe.

Whilst the Autumn/Winter 2009 collection remained faithful to its signature style of delicate silk-ruffled dresses, bejewelled gowns and lace lined tea frocks – the current collection has a darker, sultrier tone.

Teaming traditional Temperley fabrics in rich jewel colours, intrigue was in abundance by combining black skyscraper, thigh-high boots, over-the-elbow stretch leather gloves with black patent belts, cinching the waist and mudding the pretty demure of the Temperley clan and embellishing its style with more prurient.

Temperley London has all but grown up. No longer content to adorn her celebrity followers in merely beautiful made, girly garments, Alice Temperley has her sites firmly fixed on a more ‘stronger and sexier’ appeal for the Temperley woman.

The Temperley brand has moved into bridal and accessories lines recently, which includes best-selling handbags that can now be found at both Selfridges and Harrods this season.
